Just as a rancher brands livestock to show ownership, Christ places His mark on us when we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour. Branded by the cross and adopted into the family of Jesus Christ, we are forever transformed as His own.

Though the branding process hurts - much like the God-given refining fires of life - it produces the assurance that our Lord will supply every need, just as a rancher cares for his herd. In Jesus, we find:
